Hi there! Just a quick, one miniature posting... Got this done for a mate, to be used in their ongoing GURPS-campaign. It's a some kind of assassin I think :)
Bye now..!

Reaper Bones: Anval Thricedamned
A while ago I ordered quite a pile of Reaper Bones minis for RPG-use. I'll be posting pics every now and then when I get them painted... Here's one of my favorite Bones, Anval Thricedamned.
I was aiming for butcher kind of look for this giant-axe wielding chaos warrior. So I covered it with dried blood and nasty goo...
Really love the sculpting on this one. Superb figure!

Reaper Bones: Well of Chaos
Hi there... I had to try out my Vallejo water effects, that I purchased yesterday. I remembered that I had some Reaper minis in the cupboard, and among them was the "well of chaos" miniature, that would be perfect for a water experiment :)
First I painted the mini. Then I cut some straws from an old paint brush, and glued them carefully in the pool. After sanding and painting the sand, I poored some Vallejo "Still Water" in the pool. And another layer this mornig...
I didn't quite nail it... the water effect flooded abit on the edges of the pool. And the stuff didn't extend and level itself as I expected. But I think it's on the user, for I didn't shake the bottle before use, and there was apparently some thicker stuff coming out of the bottle first. I should have tried it on somewhere else first before the mini... Next time. I still have two of these figures :)
The Bones miniature is beautifully sculpted, and is easy and fast to paint. Points for Reaper..!
Its really nice from behind too :) Bye now!

Commission: Gurps hero out of Shadowblade
Hi there! Another commission from a local Gurps RPG-group. This time I was asked to convert a GW:s Shadowblade to a backstabbing rogue adventurer. "It shouldn't look like dark elf, and the character has a leather armor with a chain shirt"...
Well... I carved out most of the "pointy and spiky" armour bitz, and added a chain shirt out of green stuff.
And here it is assembled and painted. I think I faded out the Dark Elf pretty good with just color choises. There's the standard rangers green cloak, and brown leather armour with some metal strengthenings...
I made a detailed pattern inside the cloak, to make it look more expencive. Characters are quite experienced, so I figured they have the cash for fancy clothes :)
Well, there you have it. Bye now!

Reaper Bones Ogre
Hello! I'm a little short on the hobby time again... But here's a quick posting of a Reaper Bones Ogre that I made as a comission, for RPG use. In this case it's used in GURPS-fantasy.
Here's the poor ogre hacked to pieces... I was asked to get rid of the shield and heavy mace. In GURPS the character uses two handed great axe, and has a smaller axe as a "back up" weapon...
Well... here it is. I used bitz from GW black orcs regiment box and gave it the paint job.
Mini painted up nicely. "Bones" details were just fine. Only downside was that the glue drying time seems to be quite long with the Bones plastic... But I can live with that, when I look at the Bones prices :) Bye Now!

RPG Adventurer
Hello! Here's few pics of a miniature I kitbashed for my friend. He uses it in their GURPS-Fantasy campaign.
It has parts from Romans, Vikings and Pict miniatures. Shield I had to make my self, for I did'nt happen to have any tear shaped large shields...
It should now have all the equipment as the character has in game. Or at least the combat gear :)
Here's the original shield design. I was asked to design a tear shaped shield with a blood drop in the middle... and some "cool looking fantasy design around it". Well... this is a weird combination of some african and viking stuff :)
Bonus pics of the day... Old Hero Quest orc!
Bye now!

Hasslefree Goblins and Borak, the Orc Champion WIP
Here's some gobbos I purchased from Hasslefree minis about year ago... Finally got some paint on them. Here's some WIP-pics.
Here's eight Goblins. They are multipart minis, and there's some really nice poses you can make out of the parts. Four with spears and another four with swords. I think the paintjob is ready with them, just some work to be done with the bases.
And here's Borak the Orc Champion, also from Hasslefree... I used alot of red on the mini, to give it some extra character. The sculpting is really great on this mini. I like it alot!
This shield is made for bashing. This funny perspective doesn't show the long spike in the middle... but it's there :) Borak's armour looks really heavy and impressive.
Here's a happy group shot... and the spike in the shield. Bye now!

One more Grenadier Orc
Hi there... Got the last Grenadier "Orc with Sword and Shield" painted. Here's some pics...
It was nice mini to paint... And this one is my favourite sculpting of the three, that came in a same blister. And it was so back in 1987 too :) I painted all three pretty fast with big brush strokes, concentrating more to "get something done" for a change. Still, I'm pretty happy with the result for all three.
Here's a group shot... Ready for some action. Bye now!

Hasslefree Orcs and Goblins arrived
I got these goodies few days ago... Now I had some time to open the bags and look into minis!
I chose to buy these goblins, for they're sculpting reminded me of old LotR pictures, painted by Angus Mcbride. He had brilliant visions of Orcs and Goblins... which are still in my head as the true O&C for me :) I guess it was the helmets of the minis that made me make the purchase, for I remembered an old game book by I.C.E. that has a cover picture I really love. Still have it in my bookshelf!
Well... I got one of them assembled and painted. Here's some pics...
It was really lovely and fast to assemble and paint. And the sculpting is great!
Here's just for comparison... with a Marine. Hasslefree Goblins are really tiny... Gobbo has a chance, for he has one sneak attack. Hope he goes for the groins :) Bye now!
