Trolls..!

Hi there! I began to paint one of my favourite units in O&G army, the Trolls. Here's some pics.

I have five of these "Skull Pass" Trolls in my collection, and one older Stone Troll, which is in my opinion, the coolest and funniest Troll mini ever. So there's gonna be unit of six trolls alltogether.

The Skull Pass Trolls paint up really nicely. Nothing bad to say about them. It only took few hours per model to paint. And they come with a cool scenic base, so I only washed and brushed those.

The broblem is that they all have the same pose... I'm planning on converting three of them with close combat gear, using bitz from Black Orcs regiment box.

Here's the rest of the unit coming up. First from the left allready geared up. Second from the left is that favourite Troll that I was talking about. It's a classic... And I think it gives necessary amount of "stupidity" in the unit :) Bye now!

Out of Scratch-Doom Diver: Ready and Painted!

Hi there! I finally found the time to paint this baby... Here's some pics.

Over the Hedge..! I added quite alot of Orc Bitz to the Doom Diver platform.

Moldy stuff on the wheels and platform were simply painted with Waywatchers Green (glaze). It worked out nicely...

Greystuff cloak looks Ok when painted. I'm also happy with the fire effect on the fuse.

Here they are separately... Still have to make the Night Goblin crew. I hope I get it done on my holiday. Bye now!

Doom Diver Flyerboy base size, and some Rule Help needed!

I don't usually post this kind of game rules related writings... But I became frustrated, for I could'nt find help in the forums. So now I try this kind of approach, via blogger :)

Apparently I made a wrong size base for my Flyerboy (bugger:)... Most of the WH-forums say that the base should be 1,3" or 33mm. A small flyer base... Any professionals out there, to verify this "fact"..?!

I also wonder... Does the doom diver damage all units it moves across, with the d6 gliding move..? Or just the unit(s) it touches after the gliding move? Would be nice to have help with these issues. Thnx, Bye now!

Goblin Doom Diver, Out of Scratch!

Hi there! I made a Doom Diver out of balsa wood, goblin wolf rider and a bit of grey stuff. Here's how it happened... shortly as possible!

First I used a five cent coin to draw lines on balsa, for four wheels.

I Cutted ,with my trusty carpet knife, near the pencil line, leaving just a little of the line showing on the wheel. Then I sanded the line off with sanding paper, leaving a nice round shape to the wheel.

I made some cuts to the wheels, to make them look like they were made out of planks.

Then I glued smaller pieces of balsa, to make them look more wheel-like. I also made little spots with glue, for nail effect.

Here's the frame...

Wheels glued to the frame, and vertical piece to the front.

I cutted some more balsa, and shaped the edges to look like weathered planks.

I glued the planks to the frame... and then I made the rocket... Sorry about not having pics of making it! But I hope you get the principal idea from the picture. For the rocket, I made some more planks and glued them around a wooden pin. I cutted the edges of the planks on a right angle first, like making a barrel actually :) Then I glued on the wings.

Here's the Wolf Rider, riding it. I made the rope out of iron wire, and glued the rider on the rocket. I added the "flyer goggles" out of Space Marine Scout stuff...  and I realized, that I also need a base for this "rocketeer", for the FB game rules, so I made one, and covered it with planks also.

I gave the Wolf Rider some Grey Stuff treatment. I made a hood and cape, to give the figure some movement, wind under the wings, and crazyness...

From another angle...

I used Army Painters "Leather Brown" for primer...

We'll see how the paintig goes from here. I have to add some Orc stuff to the platform, like shields, and skulls, and shit... to make it look more GW like :D. And maybe a fuse to the rocket.

Fire in a hole!!! Bye now...
