Hi there! Found some time for hobby again, and made up some more jungle stuff... Here's pics.
This time I tried to make few higher trees, I made half of them with two levels of palm leafs on top of each other. I think they look nice, and make a richer canopy to the terrain piece. Not realistic..?
Hey, they're for fantasy game!
With a tree high as this one, and a 40K infantry base, it's a good idea to glue a washer under the base, to give it the needed balance. Or be smarter as I am, and use a bigger base... I'll be back with these, when painted. Bye now!

Blood Bowl: 2nd Edition Plastic Minis
Hi there! I needed a brake from Warhammer minis, and decided to dig up my Blood Bowl teams. I have two "official" Human teams, one converted Orc team, and the Dwarfs Team, that I have made from old Citadel Plastics. I try to paint them all (this year) and get some small time League action going on in our game group... We'll see how that goes :)
Here's one of my 2nd edition plastic Human models. This was the second one I've ever painted of these... As you can see, the sculpting is not spoiled with too many details :) and paints up really nicely. I used only metal, red, flesh, and some white. So it was a one evening job for me. I try to keep it simple, so I can finish the team in this life...
The broblem with this team is, that all the minis have the same pose... I try to make the difference between the players with some special color choises, and painting the bases with different color for Linemen, Catchers, Throwers, Blitzers, etc...
2nd ed Minis came with these nice small slotta bases, and different colored rings, that you can clip on...
to make a difference between the players. I decided to use normal size slotta bases and paint the edge with color I choose, and write the players "position" on the side. That clears out for everybody what the model represents on the field. I save the classic bases for later...
Here's the whole team. Primed with black. They are actually casted in blue plastic, that looked abit funky... On the right edge you can see the mini on the classic base... and old paint job. More to come soon, I hope. Bye now!

Home Made Jungle Trees... and other "Shrubbery"!
Hi there! Here's how to put together some decent looking, cheap, home made jungle trees...
Go to your local petshop, and purchase some plastic water plants that most reminds you of jungle canopy. Well, this one really reminded me of the stuff that you put in the pipe and smoke away... but I got a good feeling, and a vague vision of how to turn them in to jungle trees. And it was only 9€.
When you get home... Cut three groups of leaves out of the vine.
Use some hot glue to put them together.
Next cut a straw in comfortable length. Then use hot glue again, to attach the leaves on the straw.
Use a 40K round infantry base (or what eva) to make it stand. Then glue some sand on the base.
Paint the trunk with Mournfang Brown, and the base with a layer of Steel Legion Drab.
Use the "bamboo pattern" to enliven the trunk abit. First dry brush some small areas with Tau Light Ochre in even distances. Then, between the areas, paint a thin stripe of the same color. Don't worry, it's easy to do, and pretty fast.
Finish the base as you like. And there you have it! Here are the first two of my experimental jungle trees. Maybe they still need some coco nuts. I dunno...
Here's some other plants I made at the same go... They are made of some old plastic plant that I found from my hobby supply. Cheep and fast. Just the way I like it :)
And here's a picture with some minis. Orcs and Goblins in jungle action. Bye now!

Old Warhammer and BBowl Scenery Stuff
Here's some of my scenery stuff made long ago. My friend brought them today at my place. I'm planning to repaint and repair most of them, for they've had some serious battle damage over the years... Most of them are still useable, but getting old... Meaning, they don't look so good, and I have learned some scenery building tricks since I made these :) But I share these with you anyway... Here's some pics.
Some flowing lava hills. Corner pieces.
More volcanic hills and the "noxious cloud", that was used in our Border Princes campaign many many years ago.
Here's closeup of the cloud. I remember it sweeping my whole unit of High Elf Spear Men in one of the scenarios. Bitter sweet memories :)
Here's some jungle stuff, used in "Thorskinssons Island" campaign, maybe 15 years ago...
The river has not suffered much damage. And it still looks Ok. I will paint the water with more details. But I'm not gonna do any water effects with resin or silicone...
Close up on the bridge...
Here's an old Blood Bowl field. I made it of a static grass mat, glued on a hard board. I made the lines and prints with white acryllic. The dug outs are just temporary... (for few years now :) Planning on making more dramatic ones.
Pieces together...
Here's another one. Made out of styrofoam. Dug outs have exploded at some point. Need some repair.
Pieces together...
Close up of dug outs... With a little effort, it'll be as new again :) Bye Now!
