Hello! My paint brush is working hard, but I have no time for posting at the time... :( I'll try to blog some of the painted minis soon...
But in the meanwhile, here's some drawings I made during our Blood Bowl league (Blood Bowl in the Badlands), that has come to the bronze and final game now... And next round with DZ1 and DZ2 is starting soon. We have our own league blog in here, but it's in Finnish. Really funny game reports there. I recommend if you can handle the language :)
Well... Here's the pics.
Ostermark Sunbros wandering in the Badlands, searching for the next opponent...
Wood Elves are freaking hard to hold still...
Introducing the drunken punch of "Miners United"...
Skavens steal the ball...
Well... there has to be some rules, right? In your face :)
Again... those freaking slippery War Dancers. I hate them..!
World Edge Ogressors vs Miners United...
Sturm the Stomper ramming through the Ogre defence line...
Chaos vs Halflings. It's just wrong man...
I failed the catch-roll with Dwarfs four times in a row... Classic!
Wood Elf defence in trouble...
Goblin's Kodak moment in the TD-line... (Just need that 5+ to catch)
Bye now!

Blood in the Badlands continued...
Just a quick peek to the campaign game we had over a week ago... It was my Ugg of Da Wyvern Cliffs and he´s orcs... against Morgear, the Skaven Warlord and he´s squeeky horde of smelly rats.
In the campaign we´re actually allies at the moment... but as I was "just passing through" Skaven lands, the rats misunderstood my intentions as I "took a rest" with my banner at the Iron Rock. Morgear somehow feared that I was trying to claim it for my own benefit... what a paranoid rat. I would never...
So we marched to war. I had pretty much the upper hand, for I had Spies (I got to see opponents armylist before battle), and +300pts that I had hired to my banner, with the silver I got from my mines.
After deployment, I got to realize that my spies and +300pts wasn´t going to win the game for me. Warplightning Cannon blew up six of my Savage Orc Boar Boyz... and kept going with it in the turns to come, shredding my Spear Chucka´s and Pump Wagons to pieces. I was really waiting for that missfire... that never came.
Skaven Battle Standard Bearer with he´s rats made pulp of my Night gobbo horde, even as they had to charge through whirling Fanatics...
And Skavens had allies (because of the Iron Rock). A Giant, Wolf Riders, a Night Goblin Shaman... and the Dice Gods, who all played important part of making my army smaller... and smaller.
Well, the orcs had few good moments too. Fanatics and Pump Wagons really worked this time... The boar boyz managed to destroy few unit, even as they lost most of the riders for warplightning at turn one... Giant picked up the Skaven army general Morgear, and threw him back in the battle, splattening the rat for good. (We´ll see if Morgear never fights again, after next campaign round).
My disappointment was actually my army general Ugg of da Wyvern Cliffs, and he´s trusty wyvern "Baity"... They were hiding from the Warplightning for the first three rounds, and in their first charge they made six hits... and zero wounds, as I threw five one´s and a two. The Dice Gods... And as I got depressed from the result, I forgot to throw the thunder stomp too :)
Example of how you throw "to wound" dice, when it really matters... That´s my Lucky Wyvern tooth in the middle, that I throw with the dice...somehow it doesn´t work all the time :o
Here´s what´s left after the turn six. Orcs: Three boar boyz, Ugg and Baity, three spear chucka´s. Skavens: A giant... the big black mini hiding in the woods. The game was all about huge carnage and dramatic turn of events. In the beginning of turn six it was still uncertain who´s gonna win... or if we were gonna draw the game. In short, it was a perfect game of Warhammer... And it was another victory for the greenskins! Waaagh!

Blood on the kitchen table..!
Hello! We had a battle of "Blood in the Badlands" today... and we played for the first time at our new apartment. I set up the game on our kitchen table.
I had very little scenery at hand so I had to use whatever I found quickly :)
My Descent board game scenery props... setup in a square formation to mark as a difficult terrain.
Old cardboard building, that came with the Warhammer box (in edition Idunno), spiced with some more of my Descent board game scenery props...
And a sugar on top, some self made, below average quality woods...
But the game itself was hard as a rock this time... I had boasted my 1500pts almost entirely in three expensive units. Orc big 'uns, Night Gobbos and Savage Boar Boyz, with all goodies and gadgets. Well, In addition I had my trusty Giant, four Chukka's and two Pump wankers... ... ... I ment wagons!
In the pic above you can see the deployment in it's all glory. Sneaky Git of Eight Peaks leading the Goblin horde as my army General. I really couldn´t see the forest from the trees in the deployment, for the Wood Elfs had four units of Dryads and one massive block of Treekin... AND they had +250pts in the list and Hatred against me from the Campaign plots. I wasn't wery Waaaghy at this point.
And this is where it all ended. Dryads advanced through the battlefield ripping every greenskin apart they could catch on the right flank of the table... I was left with none alive. My giant fell on two sky darkening volleys of elven arrows. Savage Boar Boyz managed to chop and burn the scary block of Treekin with a little help of the "Banner of Eternal Flame"... And then got flanked by two units of Dryads with "hatred", who showed no mercy...
In the meanwhile, Sneaky Git of Eight Peaks advanced stoicly through the middle field, in "soft" cover of Bad Moon Banner... taking massive hails of Wood Elf arrows every turn. After a hard battle with Wardancers, Sneaky Git finally faced he´s primary target, the "stinky" Elven noble and he´s bowmen in turn five... with only ten gobbo´s left from he´s original horde of fourty spears..! Sneaky Git charged! In the fear of losing he´s head to Git's great axe, and Big'uns flanking from the left side of the battle field, The Wood Elf Noble fled of the table, saving he´s life. Fight another day... right?!
That decision won me the game, roughly by 600pts. I didn't see that coming at round four, with almost all my units perished... Incredible turn of the tide, and really exciting game!

Blood in the Badlands continued...
Hi there! Long time since the last posting... and still no miniature painting time. Nice to see anyways, that I haven´t lost any readers :) Only thing I´ve been painting lately is the walls of our new apartment. Were almost done, just the livingroom left for painting, and that´s it. :)
But the Campaign goes on, and I managed to find time to play my first battle, that was against the Wood Elves. Ormgod da 'Orrible was victorious!
High lights of the game for me must have been Giant jumping on a unit of ten Wardancers, splattening them in one round... and Ormgod´s boarboyz destroying two enemy units and running enemy liutenant off the battlefield :) My four Spearchuckas had their aim right whole game, and I´m sure to have them in my next armylist too!
The campaign turn was eventful also... Dwarfs of Barak Varr got the plague on them, losing a fortress. Chaos Dwarfs and myself got spies, so we get to see enemy forces before next battle. Skaven found reinforcements from their endless caves and tunnels, so they have extra banner for the rest of the spring season. Wood Elfs got into furious rage and now hates everybody :o In the courts of Empire there was infiltrators present... (Pick opponent, and pick who they challenge this turn).
For me, the movement phase of the armies was pretty chaotic. I tried to expand my borders ofcourse, but had no master plan for my banners... Maybe it´s because my empire is in the middle of the map, so the pressure comes from every direction :)
Ugg of da Wyvern Cliff´s took he´s army to the Skaven county, planning to conquer the Iron Rock (for the filthy rats broke our alliance). Ormgod da 'Orrible galloped across the Wood Elf land just to bring mayhem and disorder... and ofcourse to claim the land for Greenskins. Sneaky Git of Eight Peaks stayed inside the borders of the Orc Empire to defend it from oncoming Woodies! So... I have two battles coming before next campaign turn. One against angry Wood Elves, and the other against filthy double crossing Ratmen...

More Campaign Tokens: Sneaky Git of Eight Peaks
Here´s my other Liutenant for Blood in the Badlands campaign, Sneky Git of Eight Peaks... or actually Sneaky´s map token. It´s made out from a snotling. I added some green stuff wargear (check my earlier postings), and painted it up. It came out pretty nice :)

Blood in the Badlands: Campaign turn 1
Hello... Quick look at the Blood in the Badlands Campaign we started with friends a while ago. I´m playing Greenskins this time. The other races of Badlands are Dwarfs, Empire, Chaos Dwarfs, Wood Elves and Skavens. So far we have named our generals and liutenants, and choosed our allies and enemies... Few battles have been fought, but my first fight (against the woodies) is still unsolved. I have played just once against them before, and dont actually know what I´m against... But I´ll smash them to bloody heap anyhow :)
Here´s how the Badlands look like at the spring time... first map turn.
And the same with colors...
Ahhh... that´s better. My friend made a really good job with the map tile project I think...
And here are the armies... My general and liutenants are in the middle represented with dices... That´s gonna change soon (read my earlier postings). I´m controlling only the Stormhenge so far, wich is a quite valuable place... I can sacrifice my enemy prisoners there, to gain some campaign relics. Dwarfs are pressing from the north and wood elves from south, but theyre gonna get some choppas in the fore head for sure... From random events table, one of my Liutenants found a magic item worth 20pts... that was nice, for I get to keep it untill the hero falls in the battle (not gonna happen). :)
Wood elves got a spy from the events table, so I have to reveal my armylist before the oncoming game... Might as well put it here, for whole world to see. I´ts a really experimental 1500 pts list :) I´m planning to shoot the elves to fewer numbers and then hack them with choppas... Simple and simple :D Here it is:

Blood in the Badlands Campaign Tokens
Really fast update! Here´s my Liutenant map counters for the ongoing Blood in the Badlands campaign...
This is Ormgod da 'Orrible... Savage Orc Warlord, riding a boar. My sculpting skills are not so good... but yes it´s supposed to be a boar. And I made one of my metal Snotlings look more Savage Orc like, with little bit of green stuff.
I´m waiting to see how it turns out painted...
And here´s another Liutenant... Sneaky Git of Eight Peaks. Also a metal snotling with some green stuff wargear.
I´ll be back with these after some painty time :) Bye now!

Ugg of Da Wyvern Cliffs
Hello! Just a quick posting this time... Our Blood in the Badlands campaign started a while ago. I havent played any battles yet, but the first game is going to be against Wood Elfs. Arrows will shadow the sun :( I´ll be reporting the highlights and some battles... and the map action every now and then. I bought the campaign book too, and it looks really promising! Lots of blood will be spilled in the Badlands this year :)
This posting is about map counter I made resently... for my general and liutenants were just different color dices on the beautiful campaign map... :( I had to make a change to that. So here´s my Orc General Ugg of da Wyvern Cliffs map counter!
I don´t have any Warmaster minis, wich would be great for this purpose... so I desided to use my snotlings to represent my general and liutenants. I made a "cliff" out of foam, took a tiny dragon from my High Elf minis (as a wyvern), and used some green stuff to make the snotling look little more Warboss like :)
And here´s the painted Ugg of da Wyvern Cliffs... and he´s companion, the Baity Thing.
It´s better than a blue dice on the beautifully painted Mighty Empires map... "Cheers Nasu" for the paint job on the map tiles! I´ll be back with more campaign stuff later. Bye now!
